The Issue Of Whether To Pack Bed Linen For Motorhome Holidays
The majority of us will not take bed linen on a camping holiday, but will instead settle for just a sleeping bag. This is due to the fact that we do not want to have to carry the extra weight and that we do not have space for extra bedding. However, whilst going holidaying in a camper van is in the same spirit as camping, there are of course some differences. Read on to discover the pros and cons of taking bed linen when going away in your motorhome.
The pros
Obviously the key benefit of taking bed linen for your motorhome is that it will provide you with the comfort that you associate with being at home. If you are camping in a tent then you are somewhat exposed to the elements, meaning that warmth is the key concern. When camping in a motorhome you are much more protected; meaning that you can focus more on comfort.
The practicalities
It isn’t really practical to take bed linen on tent camping holidays. The first problem is that it is impossible to fasten an under sheet to a roll mattress – if you actually have one. The second issue is that sheets and duvets are simply too big to be messing about with them inside a cramped tent. Motorhomes tend to have a double bed in the back which means it is easy to put the bed linen on.
Length of trip
Usually those going holidaying in a motorhome will be taking a longer break than those that are going camping. If you are only going holidaying for a few nights then you may be prepared to sacrifice your comfort. When away for a longer period it is important to ensure that you get a restful night’s sleep. In conclusion we can think of no good reason to not take your bed linen with you when embarking on a motorhome holiday.
