1986 Sea Ray Pachanga?

I’m looking into buying a 1986 Sea Ray Pachanga 2. I did some reasearch and for the age of this boat, it still had good reviews. The only thing I cannot seem to be certain on is the dry weight of the boat. I saw a site that said 2900lbs and another that said 5100lbs. I’m confused… Any help? And if you own/had owned one or know someone who does, do you/ they recommend them? Thanks!

honestly, i’d keep looking.
boats, especially fiberglass boats, 30 years tends to be a LONG life.

that boat is at the point that even if it has been excellently maintained its gonna start falling apart.
costs to run and keep it running will be high and getting higher.

you would get a lot more headache free use out of something a decade or so newer. and your long term ownership costs will probably be lower (more up front, but less on repairs for longer, and you’ll own and use it for longer at the same time).

as for the weights, quite possible 2900 is just the boat, and 5100 is including trailer and everything else.
generally speaking any half ton truck, like chevy’s very reliable 1500 silverado, can tow any fiberglass boat under 24′ with ease.
